Cycling trips in Prague

For cycling trips, we can prepare a route at the customer's request according to their interests and physical condition.

Traditionally, we organize the following cycling trips:

Route 1 - Green

Meeting point: Fairground (Výstaviště Holešovice), Intensity: light (approx. 13 km)

An excursion in the largest park in Prague, Stromovka Park (the Planetarium, the house near Rudolf’s mine, Šlechov restaurant, the Green and Rudolph Lake). We will pass under the new Troja Bridge along the cycling track on the right bank of the Vltava River, where you can see the vineyards of St. Clara (the largest Prague vineyards). If desired, we can visit Troja Palace or the zoo. We will cross by ferry to the Podbaba district and continue along the cycling track on the left bank of the Vltava River to the Royal Hunting Park and back to the Fairground.

Route 1 - Green

Route 2 - Blue

Meeting point: Fairground, Intensity: light (approx.17 km)

We will pass through the Marold Panorama, the Battle of Lipany, the new Troja Bridge across the Vltava River, the cycling track on the right bank of the Vltava River, the Rohan Island, the sports canal and Štvanice Island, the National Theater, the Dancing House, the Emmaus Monastery, the Cubism styled villas and we will finish off at the Vyšehrad tunnel.

Route 2 - Blue

Route 3 - Panoramic

Meeting point: Vypich, Intensity: medium (approx. 11 km)

We will ride through the forest park of the Hvězda summer palace (Star summer palace), on the cycling track to Strahov Stadium, and continue on Petrin Hill to the Rosarium and Štefánik's Observatory. If desired, we can visit the mirror labyrinth and the Petrin Tower. We then continue to Strahov Monastery. We pass through Max van der Stoel Park and along the Marian walls. On the way, we will see the northern side of the Prague Castle and then continue through Letna Park. We will stop at the site of the former Stalin monument and we will finish at the oldest preserved carousel in Europe from 1892.

Route 3 - Panoramic

Route 4 - Exploratory route in Rudolf II’s grounds

Meeting point: Brandýs nad Labem, Intensity: medium (approx. 47 km)

The route is fairly easy to traverse. The terrain is even. We will start by visiting Brandýs nad Labem castle. We will pass through the grounds named after Rudolf II on the way to Toušeň resort. We will see the place where the Jizera River flows into the Elbe River, and also the favorite spot of writer Bohumil Hrabal (“Closely Observed Trains”, “I served the King of England”, “Larks on a String” etc.). We continue to the resort town of Poděbrady and visit Kovanice Castle. The tour will end at the place where the Cidlina River flows into the Elbe River.

Route 4 - Exploratory route in Rudolf II’s grounds

Route 5 - Against the current

Meeting point: Square of Palacky, Intensity: light (approx. 22 km)

We will stop at the water treatment plant in Podolí, then continue through the Modřany district and the Dobešovka forest. As an option, we can also see the Vrane water power plant. In Měchenice we will finish the route in the Fregata restaurant, recommended by the most famous Czech chef Zdeněk Pohlreich.
